Overview
The project focused on extending and reconfiguring the existing property to create a more practical layout, while making better use of underutilised areas within the home.
The Design
The rear extension was designed to create a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, improving the flow of the home and providing a central space for everyday living and entertaining.
The existing double garage was reconfigured to introduce additional internal space, including a home office, WC, utility room and pantry. This allowed the layout to better suit modern living, with increased flexibility for day-to-day use.
To the front of the property, a new entrance layout was designed to improve the overall appearance and create a more defined and welcoming entrance to the home.
Planning & Drawings
Planning drawings were prepared and submitted for the extension and associated alterations.
A full set of building regulations drawings was also produced, clearly defining the proposed layout, extension and internal reconfiguration.
The design was developed in line with local planning requirements, helping to ensure a smooth approval process while achieving the client’s goals.
Outcome
The completed design delivers a more practical and well-balanced home, with improved layout, additional usable space and a stronger connection between living areas.
The extension and internal reconfiguration create a modern open-plan environment, while the additional rooms provide flexibility for working from home and everyday family life.
