The project focused on creating a practical and comfortable living space for a family member, allowing them to remain close while maintaining independence.
The Design
The extension was designed to form a self-contained annexe, including a combined lounge and bedroom area, a shower room and a separate office space.
The layout prioritises accessibility and ease of use, with level access and a clear internal arrangement. Vaulted ceilings and rooflights were introduced to increase natural light and create a more open, spacious feel.
Outcome
The completed design provides a flexible and accessible living space, allowing the family to accommodate changing needs while maintaining a strong connection to the main home.
